Healthy Food 

Initiatives

CAPSBC has been diligently working on healthy food banking initiatives. 

 

On January 29, 2015, the Community Action Board of Directors signed into effect a formal “Healthy Food Banking Wellness Policy.” 

 

This policy was a culmination of work to develop guidelines on procurement of healthy foods that we redistribute to those in need in our county. 

 

Efforts to obtain more healthful food have yielded positive results in increased amounts of fresh produce flowing through the Food Bank.
