Board Member Spotlight
In 2005, Thomas Rice earned his B.A. (Hons), First Class, from Newcastle University. In 2007, Mr. Rice earned his Master’s degree, with merit, from Newcastle University before moving to Glasgow where he completed his Postgraduate Diploma, with distinction, in Russian language. He then received his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois, College of Law in 2012. During law school, he served two terms as president of the Environmental Law Society. He also participated in the inaugural Community Preservation Clinic, representing clients in court on forcible entry and detainer matters.
Mr. Rice is an associate in the Municipal Law practice group of Best, Best & Krieger LLP. His practice concentrates on municipal and public entity representation. Prior to joining BB&K, Mr. Rice interned for the County of Riverside Office of Legal Counsel, where he worked on numerous code enforcement cases.
He is also a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional.
Thomas Rice is the president of the Foundation of Grand Terrace. He also serves on the Board of Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County. In this capacity he has served as chair of the steering committee for the 2016 Poverty Symposium and has been actively fundraising on behalf of CAPSBC.
